About Mrs. HoganSo much to tell, so little time!
I've lived in Altoona most of my life, graduated from Altoona High in 1991. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Dickinson College in 1995 and moved back to this area to find a teaching job. I began teaching for the Altoona Area School District in 1996, teaching all the sciences at the Stevens Alternative School. AASD moved that program to the current Kimmel Alternative School in 2000, and I stayed there until 2007. I also earned my Masters in Education from St. Francis University in 2002. I then began teaching my one true science love, Biology, at Keith Junior High School and we moved to AAJHS in 2008 and I've been here in room C207 ever since! I'm married to the fabulous Mr. Hogan (some people call him Hulk ?) and we have 2 great kids Eve & Nick. In 2014 our family was adopted by a great little mutt named Rocky who is half pug half pointer but 100% snuggler! In the summer I work on flower, fairy & vegetable gardens as well as watch the birds at my feeders. I have recently started hiking and watch MANY MANY sporting events that my kids participate in---I'm a soccer/baseball/football/basketball/track mom! If you put in effort this year, we will have an easy time getting you to learn all the basics of life, BIOLOGY! |
